I.           Read the text carefully !

            Moslems believe that prophets had been raised in different communities and nations of the world and that the promised one of all the religions, Mohammed, was the last of all the messengers of God.

            Before the advent of Mohammed, the people used to believe only in the truth of their own respective prophets who were raised in their own nations from time to time. Moreover, the belief in all prophets could not be held on account of the continuity of the prophethood and the development of the world circumstances. But when the continuity came to an end the final prophet, Mohammed, according to the prophecies of all the chief religions of the world, appeared, it becomes necessary for all the nations of the world to put faith in him, and through him in all the preceding prophets.

            His religion was perfected in order to unite all the scattered and dissent sections of the world-humanity into a solid whole. The need for a perfect religion and an ideal Prophet had always been felt universally since the creation of this world. (Taken from Islam and The World Religions by Alhaj. G.N. Amjad, M.A.)
